Prints are created from leaves and flowers grown in my garden in Richmond, VA. Fabric is pre-treated to retain the natural dyes. Some color fading is normal, to extend the life hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent and hang to dry. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

All the color you see is a direct transfer of pigment from the botanical. Fabrics are pre-treated with Alum to allow the pigment uptake on the fabric. The main process I use is called Eco Printing, where the plants are laid out and then steam is applied to release the pigments.
